The Gateway Computer campaign content strategy focused on evoking nostalgia, involving cows, driven by influencers, and fun with memes to create shareable content for their growing audience, with mothers as their primary target audience. The creative execution included video and photo production, product imagery, CG videos, Brand mascot development, influencer content, times square billboards, and product placements on popular television shows. The campaign achieved impressive results, including reaching an audience of over 1 billion, over 3,000 broadcast airings, 2,300 media outlets, 11 million paid media impressions and 862K clicks to Walmart.com. The PR strategy was successful in securing coverage in highly trafficked outlets, such as Yahoo, PC Mag, BuzzFeed, CNET, Laptop Mag, Business Insider, and The Associated Press. The Gateway brand was also featured on the national talk shows: The Drew Barrymore Show and The Rachael Ray Show, as well as regional morning and lifestyle programs. With a consistent drive leading to our North Star of giving back, Lucid Theory thought it was important to include a charitable component which allowed us to lead Gateway to provide charitable donations to the Harlem Laptop Initiative and the Free Black Women's Library that reinforced the brand's commitment to the community and helped build brand loyalty among consumers.
